Information

All players must be current University students.

If teams are more than 20 minutes late they will forfeit match.

Check in deadline is 1:30pm. Players who don't check in will not get games for that evening.

Offensive player names are not allowed.

Verbal abuse is not allowed. In particular any use of racist, sexist, homophobic or any other discriminatory language will lead to a minimum 3 week suspension.

If a match ends with the successful use of a character’s self-destruct move, the results screen will determine the winner.

  • Mii Fighters: Any move combination. Other player must be made aware of move setup before game starts. This can be done via a discord message.

Match procedure

  1. Player A bans a starter stage
  2. Player B bans a starter stage
  3. Player B bans a starter stage
  4. Player A picks a starter stage out of 2 remaining starter stages
  5. Each player then blind picks character for first stage
  6. The players play the first game of the set.
  7.  Winning player of the first game bans 2 stages*.
  8.  The losing player of the preceding game picks a stage for the next game. 
  9. The winning player of the first game chooses character for next game (this may be the same character)
  10. The losing player of the first game  chooses character for next game (this may be the same character)
  11. The second game is played.
  12. If game 3 is required winner of game 2 bans a stage*
  13. Losing player of game 2 picks a stage (they may not pick a stage played in game 1)
  14. The winning player of the second game chooses character for next game (this may be the same character)
  15. The losing player of the second game  chooses character for next game (this may be the same character)
  16. The third game is played.

 

*stage bans only count for the round they are banned. E.g if player a bans Battlefield as starter stage it may be picked for game 2 unless it is rebanned before game 2.

Rules

All decisions regarding the interpretation and enforcement of these rules is at the sole discretion of the NSE Admin Team, whose decisions are final.
These rules may be amended, changed or supplemented when required by the NSE Admin Team to ensure fair play and competitive integrity.
