NSE teams up with Good Gamer Group
NSE is excited to announce our brand new partnership with Good Gamer Group, bringing game testing and research opportunities to the student community.
Good Gamer Group is a gaming research community which provides players the chance to give feedback on projects in development. The partnership allows NSE to highlight and promote studies to the student audience, with opportunities including:
- Play tests of games/features
- Online surveys
- Group feedback sessions
Through working with Good Gamer Group, the NSE community will have the opportunity to shape the future of games whilst being compensated for their time.
The collaboration is also an excellent way for students to understand more about game development and how research is carried out, providing first-hand experience for those interested in exploring this career pathway.

We’re incredibly excited to be able to share more opportunities through the new partnership, giving our students the chance to share their knowledge and passion for gaming in a meaningful and impactful way.”

We’re thankful for this opportunity to work together and give NSE students even more ways to have their voices heard while getting paid to do it.”
Opportunities will be advertised across NSE’s website, newsletter and Discord primarily. Please read the details of each study thoroughly since eligibility, availability and confidentiality requirements will all be explained in the terms of each individual study.

August Vita Student Monthly MVP and September Nominations
Vita Student Monthly MVP is a community-driven award where students around the country can nominate their peers for going above and beyond within gaming and esports. Today, we spoke with two separate MVPs!
August Vita Student Monthly MVP and September Nominations
We're back with another Vita Student Monthly MVP, but with a twist - there are two winners this month! Shama "quacktheduckling" was nominated for her work in supporting the women & non-binary community at her university, the University of Manchester.
Here's a little more from Shama herself about what she gets up to:
"I am our current WNB Rep and Vice President. Our community has big plans to grow our WNB space 'Tea Party' in the upcoming year. Primarily, we are introducing biweekly socials with MMU Esports society where WNB gamers can meet up and interact. We prioritise this a lot as we are aware that WNB members make up a minority within our server and are working hard to increase the representation."
"We will be hosting LAN events mainly, in addition to more casual events where people can meet up and just have a conversation with people of similar interests. We find that in standard events it can be very male dominated and a lot of our WNB members can feel a bit intimidated, and we've received good feedback on these WNB events, with many people wanting to join!"
Our second Vita Student Monthly MVP is Matt "7bxd" Douglas from Lancaster University. Matt was nominated for his organisation of the annual 'Roses' event, as well as his wider support as the treasurer of the society.

Get your squad ready to drop in, as this year PUBG Mobile is joining the British University Esports Championship!
With PUBG Mobile being one of the most popular mobile games in the world, NSE is super excited to introduce it into BUEC, making it the first mobile title to ever be included! The tournament will be running across both our Winter and Spring BUEC seasons, so there's plenty of time to establish your university team as the best in the country.
We are partnering up with PUBG Mobile themselves to run this tournament, meaning that there's lots of exclusive prizing up for grabs, including:
- Branded merchandise e.g. PUBG Mobile t-shirt
- Cash prizes
- In-game currency
Sign-ups will be opening shortly and posted here - in the meantime, keep an eye out on our social channels!
It's not all just competition!
As part of the partnership, there will also be opportunities for students to showcase their creativity through a global design competition: PUBG Mobile PDP Co-Creation Platform.
The competition is open to both aspiring and experienced creators and encourages the use of all mediums. So, whether you're into digital art, animation, cosplay or perhaps the more traditional pen-and-pencil styles, there's unlimited ways to show off your creativity!
In addition to having its own prize pool, PUBG Mobile are committed to showcasing high-quality submissions across their own social channels. There's even the opportunity to have your design officially added into the game!
